Explanation: Some are created in the studio in Austria, others on the road – in old houses, by the sea, sometimes spontaneously between two recordings. The feeling in the room is more important than the location. If that’s right, it becomes a picture.
Short answer: In Austria – and wherever there is good light.
Explanation: The atelier and studio are located in Lower Austria near Vienna. All the works are produced, signed, packaged and shipped from here. Sometimes I work on the road – the base stays here.
SERIES & EDITIONS.
Fine art photography in limited editions. Definition, editions, availability
Explanation: Fine art, also known as fine art or art photography, is the result of an individual concept and is produced as a limited edition. Each print is produced on durable paper, checked, signed, numbered and delivered with a certificate.
Briefly explained: A limited fine art photograph is not a series product, but a clearly limited edition. Each work only exists in a fixed number of pieces – signed, numbered and with a certificate of authenticity.
In detail: With limited fine art photography, each photograph is produced in a fixed edition (e.g. 3-199 copies). Each print is hand-signed, numbered and comes with a certificate. They are printed on Hahnemühle FineArt Baryta 325 g – a paper that guarantees maximum depth, contrast and archival stability. This ensures that each work remains permanently collectible.
Short answer: Number and signature – with the Collector’s Edition additionally a certificate.
Explanation: An authentic edition shows the limitation visibly (e.g. 17/199) and bears the photographer’s signature. The Collector’s Edition is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity showing the title, size, technique and edition. There is no separate certificate for SIGNED.FRAMED.ICONIC; here the numbering and signature on the passe-partout and the order receipt serve as proof.
In detail: Signed and numbered prints are not arbitrarily reproducible files, but independent works of art with origin and value. The limited edition increases the rarity – and therefore the price. A hand-signed print has the character of an original, whereas unlimited posters or digital downloads do not offer this proof.
Briefly explained: it confirms the motif, edition and signature – and clearly links the print to the work.
In detail: A Certificate of Authenticity (COA) documents the title, image number, edition size (e.g. 17/199), production process and date. It bears my signature and clearly references the edition. For collectors, the COA is a central proof of origin and value – especially for limited editions such as the Collector’s Edition or SIGNED.FRAMED.ICONIC.
Briefly explained: Frame with UV protection, distance from the glass, no direct sun, constant room climate.
In detail: High-quality framing with a passe-partout (spacing keeps the surface clear) and UV-protective glass or acrylic is ideal. Avoid direct sunlight, strong fluctuations in humidity or temperature and aggressive cleaning agents. For long-term storage: acid-free envelopes or boxes. This preserves the depth, contrast and paper structure in the long term.
Short answer: Select and order directly in the store.
Explanation: Size, edition and price can be found on the product page. Add to shopping cart, pay; packaging and shipping are neutral and protected.
Short answer: Neutral packaging, stably protected, with tracking.
Explanation: ICONIC comes framed, the Collector’s Edition unframed. All items have corner protectors, secure boxes and include the certificate of authenticity.
Short answer: Yes – if the motif and occasion are right.
Explanation: Sensual motifs appear personal and stylish when they are reduced and photographed respectfully. Small, clearly limited editions are particularly suitable.
Short answer: With a motif that you really want to see.
Explanation: Entry via small, limited series: manageable budget, genuine signature, traceable edition. Documentation and quality are important.
Short answer: Can be useful, but should never be the only reason.
Explanation: Limited, signed prints with a clear provenance can remain stable or increase in value. The decisive factors are the edition, condition and proof – but people still buy out of conviction.
